I used to say a lot of these lines to my girls when they were little, but who knew there were so many versions of this? I love it. I now find myself saying these lines at random times...walking out the door to preschool..."Out the door, Dinosaur!" or before nap..."Give a hug, Ladybug!"
Why not gather up some toys and pair with this poem to make the literacy experience richer? I always said if I went for my PhD, that I would write a paper that children learn better if they have something tangible to associate with their learning - like counters for math or letter beads for letter recognition, etc.
Take care, Polar Bear!
Have a fun and playful day!
